I made a commitment to our customers, the Isle of Man Government and all our stakeholders that the Natural Gas Conversion Project could be completed using an Isle of Man based team.

Nearly three years later we have done exactly that and 6700 homes and businesses are now safely using natural gas. As an important part of the Natural Gas Conversion Team you have helped deliver a very complex, technical and logistical project, safely, on time and under budget. The many thousands of customer visits made have been well received by our customers, many of whom have taken the time to write to share their experience of how impressed they were by the exceptional conduct and professionalism shown.

To complete this project safely on the planned completion date is a tremendous achievement which could not have been done without the hard work of every member of the team. Everyone has played a vital role from the sectorisation and distribution teams, the conversion engineers, the team leaders and auditors, the stores and delivery team the customer support team, the back office team and our supplier partners all have worked seamlessly together in a way that many organisations should learn from.

On a personal note, I would like to thank you for your commitment and hard work shown throughout. I know it has been challenging at times and some very long hours have been worked in some difficult conditions, but the results speak for themselves. I’m glad that I had the opportunity to work with you on this project and I’m very proud to say that I was part of such a talented team.
